EVENT PURPOSE

Social entrepreneurship is defined as the process of using commercial business techniques to generate revenue that is used to combat social problems. The purpose of the Social Entrepreneurship Conference is to advance the sustainability and growth of social enterprises and the leaders that run them.

This event brings together leaders in social entrepreneurship, tax strategy, academia, government, and law in an effort to increase the sustainability of social entrepreneurs locally and globally.

SESSION DESCRIPTIONS

Keynote – Creating the infrastructure for sustainable social entrepreneurship: Resources, Training, and Community Building

This keynote speech focuses on cultivating a stronger local and global ecosystem for social entrepreneurs in an effort to advance sustainability inf the field.

Panel: Resource Acquisition and Management for Social Entrepreneurs

A panel of experts outline resources and processes for operating social enterprises. Resources such as land and property acquisition, startup grant opportunities, government contracting, and intellectual property protection.

Transformation – Social entrepreneurs will leave this panel discussion with concrete resources that can aid them in acquiring, utilizing, and multiplying resources. They will also have the contact information for professionals that may work with in the future.

Workshop: Tax Strategy for Social Entrepreneurs

This tax strategy coaching workshop presents tax strategies for social enterprises in particular with an emphasis on both nonprofit, commercial business, and social enterprises that operate under both legal forms.

Transformation - Social entrepreneurs will leave this workshop with an understanding of ways to maximize tax deductions, save money, and to advance their quality of life by allowing their social enterprise be a tool for their both their entrepreneurial and personal goals.

Each registration serves as a ticket for one person. The purchaser’s name will be on the guest list at the event. Each attendee must purchase registration separately. This ticket covers the welcome luncheon, keynote speech, panel discussion, and workshop.
